Zhuhai Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort has once again been honored by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), this time for the Journey of Lights Parade.
Chimelong stood out from 300 international tourism firms to become the only Chinese recipient of the Award for Outstanding Achievement. The esteemed prize was presented to Su Zhigang, president of the Chimelong Group, at the 24th annual Thea Awards Gala held in Los Angeles on April 7.

Journey of Lights, an all-new parade spectacular at Chimelong Hengqin Ocean Kingdom, is the first nighttime float to interact with spectators. As Chris Ho, general manager of Chimelong's International Business Department puts it, guests have much fun and can connect with characters in an emotional way during the parade.
But the interaction is not the only thing that earned the award. Technology synchronizing light fixtures on costumes and floats is also pioneering in the world.
The parade has achieved a new level of showmanship in terms of lighting, technical integration, and guest engagement, according to Ryan Miziker, CEO and creative director of Miziker Entertainment parade design and production. Miziker says the parade will be a favourite at the park for years to come.

Founded in 1991, TEA is the most prestigious evaluation organization in the themed entertainment industry and comprises more than 7,000 multinational experts. Its Thea Awards recognize projects, recreation facilities, exhibitions, and scenic spots that bring exceptional experiences. The world-renowned Disney Resort was once listed among award winners.
This is the third time for Chimelong to win the honor. It obtained the 2014 TEA Outstanding Achievement for Theme Park at the 21st annual Thea Awards Gala in 2015, while its 5D Castle Theater received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in 2017.
The upcoming Second Theme Park of Chimelong International Ocean Resort will include the Chimelong Marine Science Museum, the largest of its kind in the world. Preparations for supersized Ocean Adventure Park, Indoor Ocean World, Gondola Lift, Mountaintop Park, and Light-rail Station are also under way.
