Founded on March 5, 1999, Xinqing Science & Technology Industrial Park is part of the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone.
Located in Zhuhai's Doumen District, the industrial park neighbors Zhongshan in the east, Jiangmen in the north, and is only one to two hours' drive from Guangzhou and Shenzhen. It is 48 nautical miles from Hong Kong and faces Macao by water. The soon-to-be-opened Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will further accentuate its transport advantage.
Covering 8.86 sq km (3.42 sq miles), the park is divided into two. The west wing is committed to new-energy, high-end manufacturing, and hi-tech industries. As one of the largest electronic and information industrial bases in Guangdong Province, it hosts 230 related enterprises, which produce more than 120 kinds of electronic products. Leading the lineup are Flex, Zhuhai Hansen Technology, Intelligent Automation, and Zhuhai Coslight Battery.
The east wing comprises intelligent industry, core service, creative industry, high-end logistics, central business, living services, and modern residential functional areas. It is shifting focus to strategic emerging industries and high-end service sector, with the introduction of projects such as HP Intelligent Industrial Park and South IT College. Internet of Things (IoT), big data, software R&D, 3D technology, cultural and creative, financial services, modern logistics, commercial conventions and exhibitions, among other sectors will be highlighted.
A newly settled Unicorn or an industry-leading enterprise talent team can receive up to 10 million yuan ($1.57 million) under a new program to attract high-quality personnel to Doumen District.
Doumen District Mayor Ma Hongsheng signed an agreement with Francois Barbier, CEO of Flextronics International Ltd, at the Zhuhai Holiday Resort Hotel on June 7 to upgrade Flex Zhuhai Industrial Park to a global flagship and exemplary park with the concept of Industry 4.0 over the next four years.
