The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra brings a mix of warm, vibrant sound along with passionate and energetic music to Zhuhai Opera House on Yeli Island on May 23. Tickets go on sale at 9:30 am Saturday, March 23.

Since its founding in 1896, the Czech Philharmonic has been the most prominent orchestra in the country, and has become a regular in halls across Europe. Czech composer Antonin Dvořák had conducted the debut performance in Prague and virtuosos have been featured throughout the orchestra's 120-year history.

Running the gamut in terms of musical styles, the orchestra has fostered numerous well-known musicians, with Czech national music being its area of specialty. Bohemian-style music is also an important part of its repertoire, as it is unique in its ability to create a romantic mood.
