Human hearts and a Human City: Zhuhai steps out from bilingual albums
Bilingual Zhuhai album books of lively photographs and graceful texts brought City of Romance to the fore on the opening day of the four-day Macau International Book Fair 2019 in The Venetian Macau on July 4.
Also released were a series of promotional leaflets spotlighting Zhuhai. The photo album books Zhuhai (Chinese version) and Multifaceted Zhuhai (English version) were marketed with some donated to six Macao charity organizations including the Macao Library.
New photo books donated
The two album books are published by Beijing-based China Intercontinental Press in collaboration with Zhuhai Magazine Co under the auspices of the Zhuhai Municipal Government Information Office. They contain nearly 200 selected photographs by renowned Chinese and western photographers with simple and graceful texts serving as strings in between to unfold an environmentally picturesque, open and all-inclusive, positively enterprising, and vigorously vibrant city style.
Min Yuntong, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee, made remarks at the book launch, saying that Zhuhai is endeavoring to play a key role in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He said the goal is a gateway hub of the Greater Bay Area, core city on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary, and model of high-quality development for the Coastal Economic Belt. The photo books, therefore, publicize Zhuhai with lively pictures and stories so that a wider range of audience including local residents, tourists, potential overseas investors, and all those who care about Zhuhai gain a better and deeper understanding of the city.

The Zhuhai booth was designed to exhibit the city glamor and characters of Zhuhai along with abundant interactive activities.
The promotional event was organized by the Zhuhai Municipal Government Information Office.
In the meantime, Zhuhai solidified its image as the City of Romance while its abundant tourism resources were promoted in Macao on the afternoon of July 4.
Highlighting the theme of Romantic City, the promotion saw the release of a new tourism logo for 2019 and the unveiling of ten theme travel routes and tourism products at The Venetian Macao. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge experience, theme park tours, and island holidaymaking, among other key tourism products, were popular with industry representatives.
Zhuhai tourist resources promoted
More than 20 tourism-related companies including Chimelong Group, Sumlodol Hengqin Camping Town, Lionsgate Entertainment World, Lets Cultural District, Gree Dong'ao Hotel, and Yi Li Restaurant showed their latest tourist projects through diversified approaches.
A hundred Zhuhai and Macao SAR senior officials, tourism authorities, industrial representatives, and media of Guangdong and Macao, including the culture, radio, television, tourism and sports bureaus of Xiangzhou and Doumen districts, were present.

The event was organized by Zhuhai Tourism Development Center to establish Hengqinas aninternational recreation island and Macaoasan international leisure tourism center.
