New app brings Airshow China visitors complete access

A Cloud Airshow column and app were released Sept 16 on the website of the Sept 28 to Oct 3 China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China).

In light of the global pandemic, Cloud Airshow will give visitors online access to all 11 indoor exhibition halls and 360,000-sqm (89-acre) outdoor exhibition area using virtual reality technology. They will view cutting-edge products, technologies, services, and achievements making their global or China debut.

Accessible online are thematic exhibition areas concerning civil aviation, civil-military dual-use technology, unmanned systems, aeronautical manufacturing, maintenance, repair and operations, and maritime preparedness.

Visitors can also watch real-time aerobatic performances and dynamic demonstrations of ground equipment, make comments, or play back highlights. Reservations can also be made for online conferences, forums, signing ceremonies, and release conferences.

New organizers – the State Administration of Science, Technology & Industry for National Defense and China National Space Administration – will cooperate with the Guangdong Provincial People's Government to host the upgraded Zhuhai Forum.

The online forum will consider how to seize opportunities in the new round of sci-tech and industrial revolutions, serve national politics and diplomacy, and contribute information for building of a community of shared future for humanity.

In addition, Cloud Airshow also offers a brief introduction to the event, ticket purchases, and professional insights into related news. The Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism & Sports Bureau will promote the cultural and sightseeing routes at the Smart Airshow App.

The platform was launched by the Executive Committee of the 13th Airshow China and Guangdong Radio & Television Station.
