Phase I of Gree's smart industrial park to open in early 2023
Dozens of buildings in the Gree Electric Appliances High-End Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in Pingsha Town of Zhuhai's Jinwan District have finished main structure construction, with Phase I of the park expected to start trial operations in early 2023.
The 1.59-million-sqm (391.9-acre) park has floorage of 1.96 million sqm (484.33 acres) and will contain factories, dormitories, canteens, as well as activity centers. Boasting an investment of 15 billion yuan ($2 billion), the industrial park is expected to generate an annual output value of 18.1 billion yuan ($2.5 billion) upon operation.

You Ning, head of the process department of Gree Electric Appliances Intelligent Manufacturing, noted that the park will be built in two phases. Phase I will boast two industry-pioneering automatic production lines for household air conditioners.
Traditional air conditioner production relies on manual operations with long and complicated processes, causing problems like low production efficiency, large energy consumption, as well as a lack of real-time information from production machines.
You said that intelligent equipment will be applied in the industrial park to not only optimize the technological process in production and increase production flexibility in market response but also ensure the stability and quality of the products.
Of note, it will be equipped with a photovoltaic power supply system, a piece of clean energy equipment that uses a photovoltaic direct drive inverter centrifuge central air conditioner independently developed by Gree to improve energy conservation and reduce emissions.
