Industrial projects in Zhuhai have undergone rapid construction in October, striving to establish a more complete enterprise service system and to inject strong vitality into local industrial development.

Section III of Fushan Industrial Park in Doumen District has started main structure construction and several factories in it are expected to be topped by the end of October.

The 320,000-sqm (79-acre) project will include 17 factories, two warehouses, two service centers, an office building, and a complex building, covering total floorage of 540,000 sqm (133 acres).

Liu Wenpei, deputy director of the project's constructor, noted that the four-story standard factories will have floorage of 5,000 sqm (1.2 acres) for each floor. Final touches, such as interior decoration, installation of mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as outdoor works, will be finished by the end of December.

Elsewhere in Jinwan District, the first batch of buildings in the north area of the Gechuang Yungu and Gechuang Baocheng projects finished main structure construction 30 days ahead of schedule. Upon completion, they will add 88,000 sqm (21.7 acres) in factories, contributing to Zhuhai's industrial development.

The north area of the Gechuang Yungu project is located north of 5th Dingwan Road and west of Shengli Road in Sanzao Town. It boosts an investment of 905 million yuan ($125 million) and will focus on the smart energy management, low-carbon energy saving equipment, as well as power electronic devices industries.

With total floorage of 216,800 sqm (53.6 acres), the project will consist of factories, exhibition areas, and supporting living facilities, such as dormitories, entertainment rooms, canteens, as well as a 9,500-sqm (2.3-acre) parking area.

The Gechuang Baocheng project is located in Zhuhai Gaolan Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone and enjoys preferential taxation policies, as well as convenient import and export supervision measures. It will give priority to the development of the bonded logistics, processing, and maintenance industries.

The 2.4-billion-yuan ($330.8-million) project contains four land lots with total area of 296,700 sqm (73 acres) and floorage of 637,200 sqm (157 acres).

In addition, Xiangzhou Innovation Harbor in Nanping, Xiangzhou District is now moving forward the interior and exterior decoration work. It is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of 2023.

The 3.2-billion-yuan ($441.6-million) project has an area of 87,000 sqm (21.5 acres) and floorage of 500,000 sqm (124 acres). Being built over five phases, the project will become a major platform for Zhuhai to establish high-end industrial clusters and independent innovation demonstrative zones.

The harbor will focus on the new generation information technology and intelligent manufacturing industries. It will include garden-style and high-rise industrial buildings, talent apartments, international brand hotels, commercial areas, as well as gardens.

The multi-story industrial buildings in the project's phases II and III have been completed, while most of the buildings in the first four phases have been topped and will undergo further decoration.

The first entrepreneur service station of Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) recently unveiled its plaque at Tsinghua Science Park. The stations provide convenient services for enterprises in the zone and will regularly collect their appeals, carry out policy promotion fairs, as well as offer one-to-one services.

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Logistics Park in Hezhou has completed the pile foundation construction of the park's first phase.

With total floorage of 143,100 sqm (35 acres), the park will be built in two phases, with an investment of 1 billion yuan ($144 million). Phase I will include import supervision and bonded warehouses, as well as customs supervision sites. It is expected to start initial operation in the first quarter of 2023.

Upon operation, it will work with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Zhuhai Port to deepen cooperation among Guangdong, Macao, and Zhuhai, as well as explore new cooperation spaces in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
