Zhuhai host intl aerospace leadership summit, development forum
Nobel Prize laureates, overseas academicians, and scholars of domestic universities gathered both online and on-site for the 2nd China International Aerospace Leadership Summit and Aerospace Industry Open Source Innovation and Sustainable Development Forum, which commenced on Nov 7.
Attendees of the forum discussed the pressing issues, trends, opportunities, as well as possible problems and solutions regarding the sustainable development of the aerospace industry. Experts also shed light on technology transformation and application, open source technology systems, and synergetic development, unveiling blueprints for Zhuhai's aerospace industrial development.
Grzegorz W. Kolodko, former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, urged the strengthening of technology and innovation cooperation between Poland and major countries and regions, especially with countries alongside the Belt and Road.
Swiss scientist Michel Mayor, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2019, Leng Jingsong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Tan Jianrong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered keynote speeches during the forum.

Shi Lei, general manager of Zhuhai Aviation City and Airport Group, said that the enterprise will innovate the Zhuhai-Macao cooperation model on the basis of the Airshow China platform to turn itself into an innovative comprehensive enterprise covering the entire aerospace industry.
The group also forged online strategic cooperation relationships with Macao International Airport, the China Council for International Investment Promotion, Beijing Normal University's Zhuhai campus (BNU Zhuhai), and Hunan Provincial Satellite Application Association to build Zhuhai into an innovation highland of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area featuring the deep integration and coordination of the aerospace industry.
